Love at First Sight

It wasn't until it happened to me that I believed it existed.

Go back with me. December 1990. I'm sure it was a cold and snowy day, but my heart was melting the moment I first saw him. The shaggy hair. The high pitched scream. His blue eyes. My first crush.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so what better way to express the love that continues to beat inside my heart for Macaulay Culkin.

My parents may not have blue window frames,
but in a pinch, blue painters tape will do.

And now for a special message to Macaulay, in case you happen across my humble little blog...

Every time I look at him, the song
My Heart Will Go On plays in my head.

...no matter how much your life spirals out of control, I will always love you, Macaulay Culkin.

25 Days of Christmas

December is here which means the countdown to Christmas officially begins today.

To officially kick off the next 25 days of Holiday Antics, I decided to start with the most 'serious' photo before escalating to some more awkward (maybe even a few creepy) holiday antics.

This first set of photos are titled:
I don't have a boyfriend, but apparently a dog is just as good.
...and if the title of these pictures are confusing to you, then click here.

This first picture is the one that made the Christmas card cut...

Nothing quite like torturing Reilly.

...but this one came in at a close second.

He looks so happy to be dressed up.
Little did he know what else he was getting in to...

On an unrelated note, does anyone else find the Kay commercials where the woman say, "Ohhhh, Santa...." disturbing at all?

Arriving Soon...

One of my favorite things about December is receiving Christmas cards from friends and family, but I have always felt a little silly sending out my own card, seeing as how I don't have a husband or child to pose with.

A friend suggested sending out an 'awkward' Christmas photo. I'm pretty sure she thought we were just joking around, but it quickly turned from joke to reality for me.  Soon we had over 15 ideas. Being indecisive, I knew I wouldn't be able to choose just one picture that would adequately capture the awkwardness that is my life, so I decided to start a holiday blog.

As the countdown to Christmas begins, I will be posting a new holiday antic daily, but the elf doesn't officially land until December 1st.  In the meantime, enjoy a sneak peak of what to expect, and don't forget to check out how you can get involved.
